I'm a technical writer, working for a network equipment company in Pittsburgh PA. I love to cook. I'm fascinated by languages and literature, and I'm pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Writing Popular Fiction at Seton Hill University.
As you might have guessed, I write. My writing journal is scribere_agere, but it's entirely friends-only.
I'm fond of traveling, and have been to various places in Europe a number of times, Mexico once, and Canada more times than I can count.
I love coffee and am very good at making: normal coffee, espresso-based coffee, and Turkish coffee. Of the three, I prefer Turkish coffee.
I'm an old-time science-fiction and fantasy fan, and a more recent "crime drama" fan. I watch Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis, Battlestar Galatica (and I'm old enough to have watched the original, too), Doctor Who (Five is still my favorite), and Torchwood, as well as all of the CSI shows. I was hooked on Moonlight, but alas, that campy vampire show passed away. Given the workload at school, I haven't really had much time to watch TV as of late.
I've created and maintain two communites (but neither of them is very active):
turkish_cooking: A community about Turkish food and cooking poetry_of_doom: A community dedicated to bad, angst-ridden poetry
My journal is mostly friends-only, now. There are a few public entries, mostly to do with reading and writing. If you do friend me, drop my a comment and tell me why.
I like making icons! Feel free to check out my icon gallery. You can snag any of the icons, as long as you credit me and do not hotlink.
